The final theme has ARRIVED, people! It’s here! It’s FABULOUS!!!!!
To say that I’m excited about this theme night is putting it lightly. Guys, we have 4 solid, distinct themes…and we have over 2.5 months to plan for them. This is going to be amazing – if you let it.
Granted, I’m happy to say that I saw less complaining about this one. In fact, I’ve seen quite a few people saying that they’re already set for this one. Apparently, the fandom is FULL of cosplayers! Who knew?!
For those of you who don’t have a cape and tights already hanging in your closet, I have some ideas for you. As with the 90’s and High School themes, I’ll be breaking this one out into categories. Also, may I make the suggestion to do a gender reversal…sexy female Loki NEEDS to be a thing!
So…lets get down to business!

And don’t forget, you could always go as…SUPER FAN!
These are just a few ideas to hopefully help you get your juices flowing.
For this one, I recommend going with something that’s easily recognizable and doesn’t need an explanation. Also, remember – Comic Con is a great opportunity to flip some of these costumes on their heads by mixing them with different genres. Steampunk, 20th century era {20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, etc…}, ancient greek or roman versions {i.e. the toga version}, Victorian, or Futuristic spins on any of these costumes could make them truly unique.
As with the others, Pinterest could be your best friend! Let those creative juices flow! Reach out to fellow fans who have experience cosplaying. They may be willing to help you. I also want to remind you – get started on this as early as you can and do a practice run to make sure that you can move in your costume or, as is the case with my costume, breathe in your corset, lol. Also, an idea you had may need some tweaks or you may need to go back to the drawing board {in the case of a bad fit or costs of an idea being higher than you anticipated}. Give yourself time to make those changes with as little stress as possible.
As I mentioned in last Thursday’s Live vlog, remember that this is the last deck party. Be sure to consider how you’re going to get your costume off of the boat without your luggage if you opt to have Carnival take it the night of the 6th. At the time of this posting, I’m still working on the edit of that vlog, but I will be uploading the clip talking about that in more detail once it’s done.
